Approximate Schedule (confirm departur time with the driver on the day) 

  • 09:00 – Start from Hilltop Hotel Iso-Syöte
  • 10:00–12:00 – Ranua Wildlife Park (entrance not included)
  • 13:00–15:00 – Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi
  • 17:00 – Return to Hilltop Hotel Iso-Syöte

Visit Ranua Wildlife Park and the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi. At Ranua, you’ll see around 50 northern animal species — from polar bears to lynxes — in a natural-like setting (entrance fee not included). The journey continues to Santa Claus Village at the Arctic Circle, where you can meet Santa, send postcards from the official Post Office, and explore local shops.

Where does the safari start and what time should I arrive?

Departure for the day trip is from the Hilltop Hotel lobby. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start time of the program.

Are there any age limits or restrictions for participating in the safari?

Minimum 8 people required

What are the cancellation, liability and weather policies for the safari?

Winter activities are planned and operated subject to change due to weather conditions, which are out of our control. The duration of the program may vary due to weather conditions and group sizes. We keep the right to change the programs and timetables for clients ́ safety.

All safaris include guide services, instructions, and warm clothing.

The stated durations and distances (in km) are approximate and may vary depending on weather and track conditions, as well as the (driving) abilities of the participants.

Cancellations
  • A €50 office fee is always non-refundable.
  • You can cancel free of charge (except the office fee) up to 21 days before the program date.
  • If you cancel 21 days or fewer before the start, the full price will be charged.
  • Hilltop Hilltop Hotel Iso-Syöte may cancel the program if fewer than 4 participants register. In that case, you’ll receive a full refund within 14 days.
