Ride through snowy forests and over frozen lakes on a snowmobile safari
to a traditional reindeer camp. Enjoy a peaceful reindeer-pulled sled ride

Where does the safari start and what time should I arrive?

Departure for the safaris is from the Hilltop Hilltop Hotel Iso-Syöte lobby. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start time of the program, or 30 minutes beforehand if you do not yet have your safari equipment.

Do I need any prior experience or special requirements to join the safari?

Snowmobile safaris do not require any previous experience, but a full driver’s license is mandatory.

Children about 140 cm tall can ride behind a parent; smaller children travel safely in a sled pulled by the guide. The final decision is always made by the safari guide.

Are there any age limits or restrictions for participating in the safari?

Pregnant individuals should not ride reindeer or husky sledges, snowmobiles or sledges pulled by snowmobiles. If extra arrangements are required, the participant is responsible for any additional costs.

What are the cancellation, liability and weather policies for the safari?

Winter activities are planned and operated subject to change due to weather conditions, which are out of our control. The duration of the program may vary due to weather conditions and group sizes. We keep the right to change the programs and timetables for clients ́ safety.

All safaris include guide services, instructions, and warm clothing. All snowmobile safaris also include driving instructions, insurance, and fuel. For snowmobile driving, an insurance self-liability fee of €1000 per accident applies.

The stated durations and distances (in km) are approximate and may vary depending on weather and track conditions, as well as the (driving) abilities of the participants.

Cancellations
  • A €50 office fee is always non-refundable.
  • You can cancel free of charge (except the office fee) up to 21 days before the program date.
  • If you cancel 21 days or fewer before the start, the full price will be charged.
  • Hilltop Hilltop Hotel Iso-Syöte may cancel the program if fewer than 4 participants register. In that case, you’ll receive a full refund within 14 days.
