In the Naava Suite, authentic Finnish beard moss creates a unique atmosphere that reflects the tranquillity and beauty of the northern forests. Large windows bring the surrounding nature into the suite, creating a peaceful and immersive environment for relaxation.

Aurora Double Suite

In the Aurora Double Suite, traditional reindeer fencing has been incorporated into the interior design, bringing a distinctive piece of northern heritage into the living space. Natural materials, warm tones and carefully crafted details create an intimate and memorable setting for two.

Both suites feature a private sauna, elegant bathroom facilities and a private outdoor jacuzzi on the balcony, allowing guests to unwind while enjoying fell landscapes, vibrant autumn colours, the first snowfall or a star-filled Arctic sky.

Hilltop Hike

Join a guided hilltop hike starting from Hotel Iso-Syöte! The route circles around the top of Iso-Syöte fell with an experienced guide. You’ll visit a viewpoint at the highest hilltop spot, where breathtaking panoramic views unfold in all directions. The trail includes both easy paths and some rocky, uneven sections. The hike ends with a relaxing snack break in nature.

Husky Day Safari with Lunch FJ

Travel by car to a charming husky farm, where a team of enthusiastic sled dogs is ready to welcome you. After a friendly introduction and safety briefing, set off on an exhilarating husky sled ride through snow-covered forests, with stops along the way to change drivers and capture unforgettable photos. You’ll have the chance to drive the sled yourself, then warm up with lunch by a campfire or at the farm while learning more about the huskies and their daily life.

Hotel Iso-Syöte Extension Progressing as Planned

The extension project at Hotel Iso-Syöte is progressing well and remains fully on schedule. Construction is moving forward in a positive spirit, with the aim of completing the project by late summer 2026.

At present, interior finishing works are already underway. Painters and tilers are actively working on site, and finished surfaces are taking shape day by day. The progress is clearly visible, and the new extension is beginning to take form within the building.

More detailed information regarding the completion schedule and opening will be announced during March–April 2026. We thank you for your patience and look forward to welcoming our guests to even more memorable experiences at the top of the fell.

Ranua Wildlife Park & Santa Claus Village – Day Trip

Travel from Hilltop Hotel Iso-Syöte to Ranua Wildlife Park to meet the iconic animals of the Arctic. Continue to the Arctic Circle and step into the festive world of Santa Claus Village. A perfect day combining wildlife, winter landscapes, and a touch of Christmas magic.

Approximate Schedule (confirm departur time with the driver on the day) 

  • 09:00 – Start from Hilltop Hotel Iso-Syöte
  • 10:00–12:00 – Ranua Wildlife Park (entrance not included)
  • 13:00–15:00 – Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi
  • 17:00 – Return to Hilltop Hotel Iso-Syöte 

Highlights

Visit Ranua Wildlife Park and the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi. At Ranua, you’ll see around 50 northern animal species — from polar bears to lynxes — in a natural-like setting (entrance fee not included). The journey continues to Santa Claus Village at the Arctic Circle, where you can meet Santa, send postcards from the official Post Office, and explore local shops.
